What Makes This Website Different?

Hi, my name is Lee Doug. Irrespective of how you arrived at this website, firstly I would like to thank you for visiting us. Out of the countless number of similar review sites out there, we want to make our website different from others…….more details coming up.

Who are “we”, you may ask? Well, we are a group of like minded guys that have come together for the common objective: to help those who are searching for some specific product to purchase to make an INFORMED decision.

I was a “victim” of information paralysis when I was looking to buy a television online a few months ago. There are just so much information on the product, stories people tell, review sites etc that I could not make a final decision. Review sites were especially notorious as there are review sites out there that are just crappy!

I discovered after joining a forum  that I was not alone. In order to help others like us,  a few of us then decided to get together to do something about this. We listed down some of the concerns some people (like me) face and see if we can come up with some solutions:

1) Concern: Information Overload
Solution: KISS (Keep It Sweet & Simple)

This “Review” site is more like a Report. We do the detailed research on the internet and condense all this info into 1 page. We focus only on the key elements and leave out all the fluff.

There are links on the report that takes you to more detailed stuff if that is what you are looking for.

2) Concern: Contradictory Reviews
Solution: Focus on the HELPFUL ones only

We found that there will ALWAYS be contradictory views of any products reviewed and we respect all of them. However, there are just too many to list all of them (not to mention the time you need to spend to read them). So, what we try to do then is to give you an overall summary of ALL the reviews that we have read. Also, we show you the number of people that find the product useful (and not). We will highlight to you the comments that others find most useful (irrespective whether it is for or against the product reviewed)

3) Concern: Which Online Retailer?
Solution: Choose the RELIABLE one

Through our experience buying online, we have had our share of good and bad experiences. Unlike buying stuff off the shelf in the store, buying online can be a whole lot more “harrowing” if you are not careful and end up buying from unscrupulous online retailers.

Based on our internal discussion, the group wholeheartedly recommend Amazon.com as the retailer of choice.

Amazon.com is one of the most established and well known online retailer in the world. We do not advocate that old is good but Amazon.com gets our vote for the following reasons:

- Great Customer Service – CRITICAL if you are buying online

- Competitive Pricing – Cheapest price is NOT the best indicator for online shopping

- No Hidden Cost – All prices and charges are spelt out in detail so that you do not get unpleasant surprises when the goods arrive

- Reliable – You can be sure that the company will try their best to help you if you get into any sort of difficulty pertaining to your purchases

- Credible - There are scams out there.  So you need to be careful of the online retailer you choose.

Depending on the type of product reviewed, you will also find some other e-retailers that we recommend as well…but only if they satisfy the standards set by our group. But if you want to play safe, use Amazon.com.

Conclusion

Helping you make informed choice is the main objective for all of you who visit this site. We do all the back breaking detailed work so that we can present to you a simplified format of what you are searching for. The final decision to purchase a product via our site is yours to make.
